Next head upstairs, at the bookcases theres a picture of Bess and George. Also a newspaper which talks about how Nancy exposed an Antiquities Exhibit fraud.
Now head into the main bedroom. At her desk. On the cabinet across from the bed should be a book called "On the Case", read that through as it lists the possible accelerants. Move over to the Cabinet in the corner and open it up. OOH chocolate. Help yourself to some and grab a fingerprint dusting kit. Next place Deirdre's note onto the desk to start dusting for prints. To do this, pick up the Brush and use it with the powder. Use the brush with the note and put the Brush back.
Use a piece of tape and place is onto the fingerprint to grab your first fingerprint. Change to Nancy. Head first to the suspect board. Remeber at this point we should have Insert the partial print into the machine and use PrintSync, Load the sample and search only to find no matches. Seems we will need more fingerprints. Switch to Bess and head over to Nancy's home for a finger-print dusting kit.
Then head back to Scoop. Specifically asking her about where she was at the previous day, along with her opinions on Nancy and Brenda. At some point a truck will arrive outside, causing Toni to leave the store. Time to snoop! Be sure to be quick about this because, dawdle too long and Toni will come back giving you a game over for your troubles.
Quickly zip around the counter and pick up the Town Hall pictures on the floor, under the counter. Also open the cabinet and note the ice-cube shaped trays around. Next grab the closet key on the shelf too. Now head outside and to the map. Head anywhere and then go straight back to Scoop. Toni should be back behind the counter now.
Before we deal more with Toni though, lets grab Deirdre for a moment. Find out her opinion on Brenda. Seems Brenda hates Nancy a lot and once dressed up as her for a news segment.
She also gives an alibi and two phone numbers to confirm. Phone them up and discover her Alibi isnt really that watertight after all, neither were with her at the time.
Back to Toni though, talk some more with her to find out more things such as her opion on Nancy's antiquities fraud exposure. Also question her on the ice-cube trays, her alibi and why she closed the shop the day before. Now - Ice Cream time! Order anything from the menu and Bess will begin dusting for prints. Brush the powder on the item then use the tape to grab the fingerprint.
Before we go - Make sure to order everything at least once from the menu for another end-game award. Zoom over to the police station and deposit the fingerprint in the dropbox for Nancy.
Now: Change to Ned and head to the Antiques store once more. Next head in and ask Alexie about his Alibi. Immedietly we know his Alibi is false, his talk was cancelled as seen on the newspaper right outside the store.
Talk some more. If you get thrown out by asking anything problematic, just zoom back to the map, go anywhere and then come back and you'll be allowed back in once more. When you make an excuse, asking for a special something train, gifts etc etc and he'll leave the room for a moment.
Once again its snooping time and once again, if you are not quick about it, Alexei will come back and Another game over. Quickly try and dust the telescope for prints. No prints. Well okay try the metal polish at the back of the table instead.
There we go! Next: The locked trunk. Go straight to it and use the key that you won from the numbers game. Read the newspaper about Alexei's past, look at the two bottles inside the trunk and the diary of Alexei's past adventures.
Head out the store and back in to chat with Alexei. Talk to him about his past and also learn Brenda was snooping around. Brenda is still outside so lets go see her!
Open up the van and have another chat with Brenda, asking about her Alibi. Next head over to scoop and Deirdre will leave, letting you dust the cup she was using for prints. In addition, snoop around the table a bit, you should be able to find a notebook of Deirdre.
Inside is a traffic ticket. Nab that and take everything to the police station, placing the traffic ticket and the fingerprint samples into the drop-box.
Call up Nancy. As Nancy, grab everything from the drop box, put the fingerprints into the scanner and place the lock-picking kit into the drop box. Now call Bess. If you forget how to use this, the book is back at Nancy's house. Back to Scoop once more. Now: Time to play a minigame.
Play the "Swap A Lot" machine at the back of Scoop a bit. If you play and complete enough puzzles on this game, another end-game award will be unlocked.
At some point you'll hear the truck again. Leave the puzzle and notice Toni, once more has vanished. Zoom in and unlock the door behind the counter. Notice the toluene bottle and the paints around the room. Theres also a locked filing cabinet. Use the lock-pick tools on the cabinet. Yellow at the bottom right. Red at the bottom left. Blue on the upper left and Green on the upper right.
These must be done in order. Next click the pieces in this order. Seems Toni has plenty of reason to want the Town Hall gone along with Nancy. We'll confront Toni later. For now, head out and change over to Nancy. Time for the last fingerprint. Change to George and grab the last fingerprint dusting kit from Nancy's home and head over to the Antiques store. More specifically, Brenda's News van.
Head in and chat with Brenda, asking how you can get in touch with her. She'll hand you a card with her number on. Then exit the store and go back in to talk to Toni again about the ice cube trays and the toluene. If you scanned the partial fingerprint Ned gave you, you now need to get fingerprints off all the suspects.
Ned already has his fingerprint kit, but Bess and George still need theirs. Go to the Drew Home and get a fingerprint kit from the cabinet in the bedroom. It has information on how to pick various types of locks. The info on picking a filing cabinet is in the bottom left.
The code is a lot to remember, so I recommend taking a picture of it on your phone for quick reference. Ask for ice cream and pick any flavor off the board. Click on the bowl to access the fingerprint kit.
And what better way of passing time than to play a game! So zoom in on the Swap A Lot machine in the back and play a game. You need to move the letters in each column around to make phrases. Start with single letters, which are usually I or A, and short words. Then move on to the longer words when fewer options are left. When it does, quickly exit the game and turn left to the closet door. Check the picture of the code you took. Place the picks so the colors are as in the picture: yellow Y , red R , blue B , green G.
You now need to manipulate the picks in the order according to the code. You will need to go around the circle twice. Open the filing cabinet and inspect the two folders. The other contains building plans for the town hall site. If you take too long in the closet, Toni might come back and catch you, causing a fatal error.
If so, just try again. Talk about the plans. Nancy says she wants to call her dad again, so change back to her. Call Carson and talk about the plans. Change to Ned. She orders Ned to ask Deirdre out on a date and try not to be gross or creepy to get her away from the table. Talk to Deirdre. When she leaves to get changed, zoom in on her table, pick up her cup and take a print.
Remember to drop it off at the drop box. Ask him to get something from the back there are several options you can get. If you accidentally anger Alexei and he kicks you out before you get him to leave, drive around the map or talk to Brenda or whatever and then come back and try again. When he leaves, zoom in on his table. Pick up the bottle of polish and fingerprint that. Inside is an empty ether bottle — another type of accelerant. Also in the trunk are a folder and note book containing information on what happened to Alexei when he was a detective.
Exit to the world map and then go back in to talk to Alexei again about his old case. Make sure you avoid asking him to find an item in the store, or you will have to exit and enter again!
First have Nancy take the prints out of the drop box. To scan the fingerprints, enter a print in the scanner, then go to the computer and click Search.
A possible match will appear on the right. Then click on the partial print on the left and line it up with any of the prints on the right until you have a match. Take one of her cards and exit the van. Go to your phone and call Brenda. Answer yes to any of the questions to make her leave. Then enter the van again. Zoom in on the microphone she was holding earlier to print it. If you open and close the box four times you will get an Easter egg!
By now the chromatography information Carson had promised to send will have appeared at the Drew Home. So go there, go left into the living room, zoom in on the mantelpiece and pick up the envelope. Nancy will check the chart against the chromatogram results.
Looks like the accelerant used is isopropyl alcohol, so click on that. Whaddaya know — it matches! Go and update the Suspect Profiles board. Go back to Scoop and talk to Deirdre. However, this is soon forgotten when he asks her out again.
Call Bess or George. I suggest Bess, as she is already at Scoop. Turn the page to find a speeding ticket. Take the speeding ticket to the drop box at the police station and change back to Nancy.
Take the speeding ticket from the drop box and take it to the computer. Access the computer and select TicketShark. Enter the code on the ticket, which is RHE Deirdre was snapped near the town hall around the time of the fire! Go to the Suspect Profiles board and place the last piece of evidence. When all the evidence is under the suspect it belongs to, click the intercom to call Chief McGinnis.
Exit through the front door. But you need to go interview all suspects again. She has little news. Talk to Bess for a giggle. Go inside to talk to Toni, who explains why she pressured the police to make an arrest.
Go to the antiques store and talk to Alexei. Keep going through all the dialog options. Exit the store and go talk to Brenda in her van. Keep talking through all the options and end with asking her how to get in contact with her later. Take another of her cards. Pick up the paint thinner on the left, which is an accelerant. Alexei: To find out Alexei's accelerant, you need to go to his store and play Number Punch.
That's on the shelf on the right, when you first enter the store. To win this game, press all the randomly-scattered numbers in the proper order. You have to get the high score on this game. If you beat the game three times in a row, without getting the high score, play the game again.
On the fourth playthrough, the game pauses itself to give you extra time to get the high score. When you get the high score, the bottom of the box opens and a key is revealed. Take the key. It opens the trunk in the corner of the shop, but you can't open it with Alexei around.
Talk to Alexei and ask him to get something for you. He will leave and retrieve it from the back room. Note that this will not happen unless you've started looking for fingerprints.
While he's gone, open up the trunk to find that he has some ether, which is an accelerant. Brenda: To find out Brenda's accelerant, you should ask her for a way to keep in contact with her. Note that this will not happen unless you have gotten fingerprints from the other three suspects, then you have given those three fingerprints to Nancy. Open her makeup kit in order to find a bottle of nail polish, which is an accelerant.
Once you've found the three accelerants, return to Nancy's house. On the shelf by the fireplace is the information about accelerants, which was sent by Nancy's father.
Go to the police station and put it in the drop box. Switch to Nancy. As Nancy, pick up the information about accelerants. She puts up against the chromatograph results.
Click on the one that matches, which is isopropyl alcohol. That's evidence which exonerates Nancy! Deirdre's Ticket Once you've gotten all four fingerprints, or maybe just after you get Deirdre's, switch to Nancy and have her call Ned. She asks him to take her out on another date, so Bess can go through Deirdre's things. Switch to Ned and have him talk to Deirdre. Ask her to go get some food with you. She leaves with Ned, then Ned calls Nancy. Switch to Bess or George, then go to Scoop and look through Deirdre's notebook.
Deirdre got a ticket recently. Go to the police station and put the ticket in the drop box. Switch to Nancy and pick up the ticket. Go to the computer, then look up the ticket on the ticket application. It's ticket RHE, and it says Deirdre was ticketed for running a red light near the old Town Hall, near the time the fire alarm was disabled.
She can put it on the suspects board at the police station. The evidence must be sorted by suspect. Under Nancy, put the chromatograph results which show that the accelerant used was NOT gasoline, thereby exonerating Nancy. Under Alexei, put the fire alarm keys, found near the trunk in his store. Put the post-it note that says ether was found in the trunk, and put the post it note that says his alibi was false. Under Toni, put the pictures of town hall that were found behind the counter in her store.
Put up the post-it notes that say she has secret plans for the town hall, she has a snowflake ice cube tray, she lied about her store being open, and the post-it note saying that she had toluene in the supply closet. Under Deirdre, put her ticket, the note that was meant for Nancy which she intercepted, and the post-it note saying that her friends didn't back up her alibi. Under Brenda, put the post-it note about the fingerprint matching, the acetone in her van, and the unconfirmed alibi.
Have Police Chief McGinnis look at the suspects board. He is impressed, and he lets Nancy out of jail. Now, Nancy can interrogate the suspects herself. She can also talk with George, who is at Nancy's house. Do this now, if you want to. If you want to skip talking to people, go to Brenda and ask for her card.
Leave the van, then call Brenda's cell phone number. Say there is a news emergency, then go back into Brenda's van. Brenda left some isopropyl alcohol next to her microphone, at the back of the van. Hey, that was the accelerant used in the fire! There's a schedule on it. Nancy is confused about Brenda's schedule, because it shows that she moves all around town very quickly. Take the key that is on the schedule, and use it to open the box on the right-hand side of the van. Inside, there's a letter from a broadcast company, about the antiquities case.
That was supposed to be Brenda's big break, but Nancy cracked the case before her, and the TV special got cancelled. It looks like Brenda still has a grudge about it. Finally, watch the show on the TV monitor. It's an interview with Bess. The interview doesn't go very well, and Deirdre is doing something in the background. Nancy decides to manipulate the audio levels and figure out what Deirdre was up to. When the levels on one channel are correct, the numbers turn green and the buttons stay in place.
With the numbers listed here, the top number comes first, then the bottom number comes second. Channel 1: 52, Channel 2: 75, Channel 3: 80, 27 Channel 4: 60, 84 Channel 5: , The numbers don't need to be exact. You can be close to them and still get it right. Once you've got it, listen to the tape again. Deirdre thought she was following Nancy, and she thought Nancy left something here. Who was she really following?
Go to Old Town Hall and look through the debris to find out that she was following Brenda. Go to Scoop and talk to Deirdre.
She says that she intercepted more than one note that was sent to Nancy. Then, talk to Bess. Bess confirms that Brenda's schedule is very suspicious, because no one can move around town that quickly without running into traffic. Then, talk to Deirdre and ask about Brenda being able to move around town so quickly.
At this point, you should be able to talk to Alexei or Toni to learn that the town has a hidden underground tunnel system. Wait, what? Talk to Alexei about the tunnel system, and he tells Nancy to check out the book across from him, called Dust and Dirt.
The back cover has two pieces of paper, which are clues about how to get through the tunnel system. Go to Brenda's van and confront her. Please note that you can't confront Brenda if you haven't read the newspaper article about the antiquities case, located in the bookshelf area outside of Nancy's room. Some people have gotten stuck because they skipped reading that article. When Nancy confronts Brenda, Brenda basically confesses.
She's planning a news report that will run Nancy's reputation into the ground. Go to Nancy's house and talk to George. George is good with technology, so she can figure out a way to stop Brenda's broadcast. George says she has the solution to the problem, but she needs a battery.
A battery is inside. Go back downstairs, and someone throws a rock through Nancy's window. It looks like the local townspeople are upset about Nancy being released from jail. Talk with George, and she puts the battery in the jammer. You then get a puzzle, where you have to connect all the dots, by rotating wires. Click on part of a wire to rotate it. Junior Mode: Let me explain this, row by row, starting from the top row.
Row 1: The wire goes into the two green connections from the left, and it goes into the yellow connection from the right. There is a straight line running between the two green connections on the right. Row 2: The leftmost and rightmost yellow dots have a wire going into them, from below. The green dot has a wire going into it from the left, as does the third yellow dot. Row 3: The green dot has a wire going into it from the right.
The left yellow dot has a wire going into it from the left, and the right yellow dot has a wire going into it from above. Row 4: The green dot has a wire going into it from the left. Row 5: The green and yellow dots both have a wire going into them from above. Row 6: The left yellow dot has a wire going into it from above. The left green dot has a wire going into it from the right. The right yellow and green dots have wires going into them from the left.
Row 7: Both yellow dots have a wire going into them from the left. Row 8: The green dot has a wire going into it from the right.
Of the four yellow dots, the leftmost one and the one two right of it have wires going in from above.

Nancy is locked in the room; following a lead for the Clues Challenge. The fire started really quickly.
The smoke is black. There was a snowflake ice cube on the thermostat. Deirdre, Alexei, Toni and Brenda were there before the emergency crews arrived. Nancy believes that the fire was intentional but she doesn't know who. Brenda continues with the broadcast of Nancy as the arsonist. Get help from your friends:.
Arrest: Nancy is arrested by Chief McGinnis at her home. At the jail cell, the Chief says that Nancy can call out. Go to the phone; pick up the receiver and dial or click on Dad's number.
Nancy leaves a message. Call any one of your friends. They will use the wiki journal on the cell phone to stay in contact. George is staying at Nancy's house and George's mom is taking care of Togo. If you do an emergency call, you might get an award. All of the group will know what the other friend finds out. Some of the main characters can interview other suspects better than others. Inventories are not transferable between characters.
To change character: Call Nancy and give the case to her. Then she calls another team member to take over the case. If you get all characters involved in the game, you might get an award.
Find the note that Nancy needs and put it in the drop box:. Map : Transfer to another team member. As another member of the team; leave the location to see the map.
The map can be pulled down to see more of the city. Move the cursor over the buildings and see the name of some of the businesses. At the Scoop Ice Cream Parlor, there is a map of the city with legend of the businesses in town. If you drive and stop at enough labeled locations in the map, you might win an award. Pick up the piece of paper on the parking lot to get charred note.
Police station: Drive to the brown roofed police station located at left of the map close to the Zoo. Open the package drop right of the station door and place the charred note inside. Call Nancy to transfer the case to her. Free run of the Police Station:. The Chief tells Nancy that she can continue her investigation as long as he doesn't catch her. There is a board where she can compile evidence and he will look at it when Nancy has enough compelling evidence. Exit the cell and look around.
See a box of goodies on the table at left. Hannah left power snacks to energize Nancy. If you eat enough goodies from the box you might win an award. Check the desk on the left and see the fingerprint scanner left of the monitor. Check to see that the computer needs a password. Read the "Investigating Arson" book. Check the desk of DK Daughters and see a media player with no card.
Check the evidence locker right of the large seal on the wall. Locker needs a key. Check the Suspect Profiles board. The charred note is automatically added on Nancy's board. Check the Forensic lab. It has a gas chromatograph machine. Find Detective Ryan's key:. Go near the Chief's office door and eavesdrop on the call. It seems that Detective Ryan lost the evidence locker key.
He thinks he lost it at Pancake City. Go back to your cell and use the phone. Call Ned or George to ask help finding the key. Transfer the case. George or Ned:.
Follow Detective Ryan's trail: Exit the area and be at map. Go to the places Detective Ryan visited. Pancake City is below the Riverfront Park at bottom of the map. Mabel Rose's is close to top left of the map. The Antiques Shop is at middle of the map above the river. Wardenclyffe Antiques: Read the August 18 newspaper on the stand in front of the antique store. Learn that the Time Capsule talk was rescheduled because of electrical problem. Enter the shop.
If Bess is sent here, she will break a vase and eventually be kicked out. Talk to Alexei who is cleaning a telescope. Detective Ryan was here and left an item at the new arrival shelf. Get the key : Turn around and go forward to the shelving right of the desk. Look close at the item with black and white striped leaves. There's a key under there. The aim of the puzzle is to retract all the bars at the center to access the key underneath.
Press the buttons to see which bars retract. Pulling back resets the puzzle. Junior: Numbering the buttons from top right clockwise: click on 3, 5 and 1. Senior: Numbering the buttons from top going clockwise: click on 1, 2, 5 and 6. Take the evidence locker key. Drive to the police station and drop the evidence locker key in the package drop.
Call Nancy and transfer the case. Find a way to open locker As Nancy :. Go to the hallway left of the Chief's office to be at the front desk. Do NOT exit the building. Open the Items Received compartment on the wall. Take the evidence locker key that was dropped off. Go to the evidence locker and use the key on locker Open the top drawer and read the computer password paper.
Take the suspects interrogation disk. Study the Krolmeister locking system manual. Open the bottom drawer and take Nancy's things: cell phone , house keys and the lock pick kit. Unlock the middle drawer : Read the Krolmeister manual that is at top drawer.
The aim of the puzzle is to light up the colored status bars at the bottom and have the connection indicator lines on top to be all green. Click on the tabs outside the triangles to see which tab makes active green connections. Press in tabs l-r : top left, bottom, top right, bottom left and right. Read Nancy's booking report. Learn that they found that Nancy's clothes taken during the home search have gasoline, an accelerant.
Nancy wants to know what really started the fire. Read that Toni Scallari reported the fire. The detector-alarm failed to operate due to unknown reason. Dad-Carson Drew : Use the cell phone and call Dad. Figure out the computer's password in the police station:. Go to the computer left of the microwave and Hannah's goodies. Click on the monitor and it asks for a password. The paper seen on top drawer of locker states: Each row and column must have one number and only one selected, can't use same number twice.
Select one number that is not repeated in other rows or columns. Pull back resets the puzzle. Junior - Top row going down: press 3, 2, 4 and 1. The computer can now be used for later. Senior - Top row going down: press 3, 5, 4 1 and 2. Find a way to listen to the suspect interviews on the police tapes:. Go to the desk of DK Daughter across the computer. Use the suspect interviews disk on the MP3 player.
Click to select and then listen to all interviews. Press the play single arrow to start. If you listened carefully to the questioning, you might win an award.
Check accelerant sample:. Ask either George or Ned to get a sample as close to the point of origin from Town Hall fire.
It should be collected in a glass sample container. Nancy also wants a check on the Town Hall alarm. Transfer case to the other character. Antiques Shop: Go to the antiques shop. Check the display on the table across from the New Arrivals shelf.
Take the free glass vial. Number Punch: Look close at the wooden puzzle box. This is a random puzzle. The aim of the puzzle is to press numbers 1 to 41 as fast as you can and beating the best time. The best time is for junior and or senior gameplay.
Press the start button to open the puzzle and time starts. Pull back to reset the puzzle. Concentrate on the numbers that are still golden in color. After 3 completed failed tries, the puzzle timer stops one minute before the best time and allows the gamer to win the game. If you play this number puzzle enough times, you might win an award. Take the trunk key from the secret compartment. After winning the game, click on prime numbers from 2 to Get an Easter egg.
Trunk : Check the trunk at the corner left of the counter at the back of the room. Alexei is here and we can't work on the trunk. Look close at trunk and pick up the alarm keys on the floor right of the trunk. Exit the shop. Town Hall: Drive to Town Hall. Go to the side of the building. Do not enter through the taped area or you will be caught by the police. Face the burned window. Take the shutter at right and automatically prop it on the window.
Climb into the building. Go forward and then right to the storage room. Alarm : At the entrance, check the fire alarm left of the entrance. See that the alarm has been turned off. Fire sample: Go to the thermostat at far wall. The point of origin must be found and stated by the character. Use the glass vial-sample container taken from the antique store on thermostat to get Town Hall sample. Exit the room, go left and out through the window. Go to police station and leave the alarm key and sample at the package drop.
Call Nancy and tell her about the alarm.
