The game also builds to a surprisingly exciting climax for a puzzle platformer; the final boss has some very good visual design and is genuinely thrilling — although it would have been nice if the boss fight could somehow incorporate all of your collected powers rather than just one or two of them.

Using the mouse only makes things slightly better, still leaving a lot of aggravating issues that eat away at your patience like flesh-eating parasites. I watched some gameplay footage of the Android version of the game and it apparently relies on virtual thumbsticks, the use of which for platforming usually makes me feel like a teenage virgin clumsily trying to locate the clitoris.

Even with a gamepad — the ideal choice for platforming gameplay — the controls are pretty unwieldy. Actually, I guess that makes it a perfect choice for the Wii U. Sign in.
